Delivering Relevant Research for Every Physician
The idea of Synopsi came from pairing a known problem with the right solution. We had known that physicians were inundated with new information, but a lot of that information did not pertain to their specialty. The business intelligence team knew they could use machine learning in order to learn a user’s interests and recommend content to them. However, questions still remained over what type of content to include, how to display the content, and what resources did physicians trust?
We used several research methods to make sure we had a product-market fit. We conducted several rounds of interviews with physicians to understand how they are currently navigating through all the noise. We also completed in-depth competitive analysis to see how we would fit into the landscape. The interest in proposed features was measured through A/B testing.
Synopsi was designed to be mobile first, especially since physicians like to read articles on their breaks using a mobile device. Physicians said the feed layout implies that the articles shown are personalized and based on their interests. We also allowed users to “follow” topics and sources as a way to customize their content feed. The hierarchy of information on the content cards reflects how physicians choose the articles they read.
Synopsi launch in the summer of 2022. We continue to receive positive feedback from our users as registrations grow. We’re continuing to roll our new features and content, such as AI-generated article summaries and opinion-leader curated reading
